Join us on this unforgettable 8 day winter adventure with 5 days of authentic dog sledging on the Ammassalik Island. 

East Greenland is possibly the most isolated part of this marvellous country and here, old traditions are still very much upheld. In wintertime, hunting and ice-fishing are integrated parts of the way of life, and dog sledges are used as transportation methods between locations and for hunting. For visitors and travellers, however, dog sledging is a sensational way to experience both the magnificent nature landscapes of this isolated area as well as get an insight into the traditional Arctic way of life. 

For this glorious adventure, we will embark on our journey from Tasiilaq and explore the Amassalik Island. We will get amazing views of the Sermilik Icefjord, visit the small settlement of Tiniteqilaaq where we will dine with a local family and subsequently, travel back through the middle of the Ammassalik Island before returning to Tasiilaq. Once arrived, we will have time to visit the town or alternatively, go for an (optional) snow shoe hike to the valley of flowers. The latter, takes you deep into the Arctic world of East Greenland.
