GERT’S HUT

Wake up to breathtaking views at Gert’s Hut

Just 1 km above the small and charming settlement Tiniteqilaaq — commonly known as Tinit — the wellknown local craftsman Gert has constructed a marvellous and authentic hut. From its incredible location, you get a 360 degree view of the astounding Sermerlik Icefjord — a breathtaking panorama of the Arctic passing by you, while you keep warm with a warm cup of chocolate on the spacious outside patio.

The lovely hut sleeps 8 people and is designed with an open and equipped kitchen including a cosy seating area. You will find toilet facilities outside close to the hut.

Just as the hut itself, getting there is also an adventure. You can choose to either travel by boat or you can fly by helicopter to Tinit, and subsequently hike the last 1 km towards the hut. During the winter, you can choose to go by dogsled or by snowmobile.
