We will then continute our adventure through the mountain valleys until arriving at three little huts, nestled in the valley, known by the locals as Kaffebaren. Here we will again enjoy a short break, with some refreshments.

Continuing on our journey we climb to an altitude of 500 meters above sea level, where we can enjoy beautiful views of the second largest fjord in Greenland, the magestic Sermilik ice fjord. We then start our descent, through a narrow path of a frozen stream, leading us to our overnight stop at the edge of the Ice fjord.

We will traverse the length of the Tinit glacier providing us with breathtaking views of the iceberg filled fjord, Inlandsis and the small settlement of Tiniteqilaq in the far distance. On our journey we will make multiple stops allowing for photography and refreshments.

We spend the night in a newly built mountain hut at the edge of the settlement. Weather and sea ice condition allowing, you will have he opportunity to join one of the local hunters on a afternoon boat ride in the fjord, exploring icebergs up close and maybe witnessing the local hunters hunting seal. In the evening you will enjoy dinner with a local family, usually seal and whale meat is on the menu.

Accommodation: The hut in the settlement has wooden beds with proper mattresses. Sleeping arrangements are on sleeping bag basis. There is a possibility to take a shower in the local service house.

Today we leave the settlement of Tiniteqilaq behind and continue up the 10 kilometer long Kugarmit valley. Today, we pass numerous large glaciers and cross several frozen lakes to find our way to the end of the valley where we will descend steep slopes arriving at the Imaila fjord.

We then continue on the frozen fjord towards the closed settlement of Qernetivartivit before which we find our hut in which we will spend the night. If time allows, we can bring out our fishing rods and try our luck fishing for Greenlandic halibut and redfish.
