ABOUT ARCTIC-DREAM TEAM
Lars came to East Greenland in 2001 as the sales manager for Greenlandic stamps in Tasiilaq. In 2004 He became a licenced hunter and from then on he started making a living of fish and seals.
While working as a full-time hunter he had more than enough time to familiarise himself with the traditional way of living of the native hunters, and this led to the creation and publication of his photographic book, “Fangerne i Ammassalik” (The Hunters of Ammassalik), 3 years later.
Lars is also an established musher with his own team of 15 dogs and he speaks fluent English, Danish and German.
Julius has his own team of 15 dogs and is a very skilled musher. He has been working for Arctic Dream for many years. He often work with foreign film crews and speaks Greenlandic, Danish and fluent English.
Outside the mushing season, Julius work full-time as licenced electrician.
He is local to and lives in Tasiilaq together with his wife and 4 kids.
Michael is a full-time hunter who comes from the small settlement of Isertoq in south-east Ammasalik, but he now lives in Tasiilaq with his wife and their 7 kids.
He has his own team of 20 dogs.
Michael has a great interest for foreign cultures and learning about the world outside Greenland and speaks Greenlandic, Danish and limited English.
Enok is the current musher champion of the East Coast and runs a team of 20 very fast dogs.
Outside the season he works full-time for Great Greenland, processing seal skins.
Enok speaks Greenlandic and Danish and has the most captivating smile man can have.
Imaqa has won the title as the top musher of he East Coast of Greenland several times with his team of 20 dogs. He is a full-time hunter from Ammasalik.
Outside the season Imaqa runs a home in Tasiilaq for children from the nearby settlements that comes to town for schooling.
Imaqa speaks Greenlandic, Danish and very limited English.
